Reading slowly in a fast feed

Why a Sunday afternoon with one long article beats an hour of scrolling, and how to build the habit.

The feed is designed to be left. A long article is designed to be finished. The difference is easy to feel after a week of both.

Start with one piece

Choose a single story you saved for later. Read it in one sitting, without other tabs open, and note the paragraph that stayed with you.

Make the page easy to read

A calm layout helps. Comfortable line length, room around the text, and a contents list so you can see where you are.

Keep the habit

One article a week is enough to notice a change. Two is better. Keep a short list of what you finished and why.
